If you have been following this blog for awhile you know that I was doing a "Sneak of the Week" Section. Well, its not that I dont want to do it anymore, its just that I have been wearing the same shoes for quite some time, and I love them. So, with that, I am going to start showing shoes that I like, and want. More of a wish list.

So with that. I introduce the Nike Air Trainer. And yes, I want these. BAD.

..:: SNEAK OF THE WEEK ::..

Its been awhile since I did a Sneak of the Week, mainly because I have been wearing the same shoes for awhile now, buying new ones,
but just new ones of these.
but now I have found a new one! The Nike Windrunners.
Super classic look, retro feel, but super comfy looking.

I have discovered that these puppies are hard to find.

I really don't even need this color, I just want this model. Any tips on how to get me some would be much appreciated!

I know its been awhile, I am contemplating a blog switch, I will be keeping you all posted as to any changes. Until then, check this out.

Daniel Reese, a 21-year-old sneaker designer, takes regular Nike sneakers and turns them into works of art. In addition to a Twitter shoe, he’s also also created a Tupac, Google, and Green Lantern custom sneaker (among many other). The shoes are limited edition and sell for around $200 – $250 per pair.

..:: SNEAK OF THE WEEK ::..

So I have received a few emails asking if I was still doing the sneak of the week.

I am, sorry, just been busy.

So lets get back to it!

This weeks SOTW I am doing yet another classic that is getting reissued.

I remember saving up all my allowance just so I could buy these monsters! And when finally got them I was about 12 years old. I remember never wanting to wear them,
to play basketball, or to the mall, or over to my friends house because I had worked so hard to get them, and I didnt want to ruin them.

Via Hypebeast:
Aside from all of the collaborations within Reebok’s PUMP 20 program, the historic sportswear brand looks to bring back a couple of original colorways as part of its 20th PUMP Anniversary. Two colorways will be made available to each participating retailer, each individually numbered and tagged with the respective shops name. All retailers will only receive 29 pairs in each color, releasing along with its own design.

This weeks SOTW is yet another classic.

Now I get emails from people saying I should be highlighting the "New Shoes" that are coming out in limited runs. I hear that, but I have to say, I own these Classic Adidas Rod Lavers and I get people stopping me and asking me about them. As much or more then if I go out wearing some of my "New Shoes"

The RL are very similar to another Adidas classic shoe, with the simple green and white colorway, many others have been done of this shoe, but the original remains the strongest look.

So, I stay true to focusing on good shoes, not just the flash in the pan models.

More on the man Rod Laver here.

This weeks ..::SOTW::.. is another true classic.

They are still some of the most comfortable shoes out there!

And, I just bought a pair, of the red ones, and they get looks!

Not just because they are red, no. because they are sick.

Vans is still on their game, and still a huge name when it comes to shoe / Skate culture.

I am a huge fan of the retro style shoes, these are pretty much the definition of retro style shoe.

..:: SPOTLIGHT ::..

If you follow the Bay Area design scene at all,
then this guy needs no introduction.

Benny Gold.

The man behind some of the best branding that's happening in the city by the Bay.

Brands like HUF, MASH*SF, REAL, 510 just to name a few.

The guy is one of the premium taste makers in the game, and with his own line not only looking solid, but selling out, and becoming a premium brand in its own right, his future is only going to get brighter!

Stay Gold.

Leave to Nike and their creative team to remind all of us
that the print media is not dead!
I was reading through one of my magazines the other day, and found this ad for the new Lunarglide shoe that says, Hold this page up to your web cam and see this shoe in a whole new way!

Now, I am aware that this isn't the newest technology. Other people have done it. I just think its a really great use of technology, getting readers to there website.

If you haven't done it, go check it out here! Its pretty cool.

You all should know something about me.

I love shoes.

I have shoes that I just HAVE, don't even wear! I am a member
of The Sneaker Culture!

And this site here is one of the best when it comes to spotlighting some of the latest and greatest in the shoe game.

SNEAKERMANIAC

Don't be fooled by the name, it's more then just shoes, it's the culture as well.
It is for sure worth a visit, and you may even find something that you have to have.

Follow them on twitter here.

Just sayin

Now I will admit, this weeks SOTW may not be the best eye candy for some of you. But the idea is down right brilliant!

These shoes, made by SeaVees are a celebration of the PANTONE color matching system. These pictured above are pms 322.

They have a full collection, and are releasing more and more based on the success of these.

If your a designer/shoe freak, these are a must have.

One sneaker company that is making big waves
in the shoe game right now is

SUPRA.

One of their core models is the Vaider.
With stars like Lil' Wayne wearing them during the VMA's. These models have moved to top of the list with many sneaker collectors.

With a decent variety of colorways, a high-top version, and low-top version, I wouldn't be surprised to start seeing these on a lot of peoples feet real soon, if you haven't already.

..:: COOL ::..

I haven't done a spotlight on people for a little while.

But, I wanted to spotlight this guy.

jeffstaple

Creative Director of Staple Design. Reed Space, and everything cool.

Everything this guy touches, turns to gold.

I could go through and spotlight his endeavors, but it would be easier for you to just go and check it out for yourself.

If you are familiar with sneakers, then you already know who he is.

I would say, if you are looking to have a career in design, follow this guys career.

At very least, follow his blog.

..:: SNEAK OF THE WEEK ::..

Starting a new section here on ..::DIG::..
I am going to spotlight sneakers, once a week, or so, sneakers that I think are worthy of such a spotlight.

I will call it SNEAK OF THE WEEK, clever I know.

This weeks shoe, the original Adidas Stan Smith. Simply classic. White green, it's just is so perfect.

You know you have a good sneaker, when they do different color ways, but the original is still the best.
